FDA clears Shina's cloud-based visualization software

Clinical image visualization and analysis software company Shina Systems will begin to offer its 3Di cloud-based medical imaging visualization software, after receiving clearance from the FDA this week.

The 3D/4D visualization software downloads over the Internet and offers image processing and clinical analysis applications on any PC, eliminating the need for 3D image processing workstations, said Caesaria, Israel-based Shina.

The company said its 3Di can use existing hardware and networks and is available for use with software-as-a-service, pay-per-use pricing.
