Fujitsu's small, light weight convertible notebook to offer Windows XP edition
Fujitsu Computer Systems has announced that starting in October the LifeBook P1500 notebook will be available with Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, to expand the capabilities of what is the smallest and lightest convertible notebook on the market thus far, the company said.
"The Microsoft Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005 operating system now supports touch technology as an alternative input method, and the LifeBook P1500 is the first notebook to take advantage of this capability. Customers now have the flexibility of both active pen and resistive touch navigation, and will be able to use Tablet PC in new and different ways," said Bill Mitchell, corporate vice president of the Mobile Platforms Division at Microsoft Corp.
