GE debuts SonoAVCfollicle for assisted reproductive medicine

GE Healthcare launched a new proprietary software on the compact Voluson i ultrasound platform at the 64th Annual Meeting for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) this week in San Francisco.

SonoAVCfollicle enables early evaluation and clinical confidence for women’s reproductive assessment, providing an easier method to scan and view the stimulated ovarian follicle, GE said.

With 3D ovarian volume, SonoAVCfollicle calculates the number and volume of the fluid-filled follicles containing hormone producing cells and a maturing ovum. The software allows for reproducible monitoring of follicular development in patients undergoing ovarian hyperstimulation, according to the company.
