Hitachi CT lands FDA approval for 64-slice CT

The FDA has approved Hitachi's Scenaria 64-slice CT.

Scenaria incorporates a package of enhanced dose reduction and awareness features, including Intelli IP Iterative Reconstruction, Intelli EC 3D automatic exposure control and Dose Check that notifies the operator before scanning if a scan protocol selected will result in a patient dose higher than reference levels, according to the Twinsburg, Ohio-based company.
