Hologic has healthy FY 2005

Hologic has released its results of its fourth quarter 2005 fiscal year with strong revenue of $78.2 million, a 22 percent rise compared to $63.9 million in the same period in fiscal 2004.   For the quarter, the company reported net income of $9.5 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, compared with net income of $5.2 million, or $0.24 per diluted share, for the period in 2004, the company said.

Hologic credits this rise on improvement in product sales of Selenia digital mammography systems.

For the year ended September 24, 2005, revenues totaled $287.6 million, compared to revenues of $228.7 million for year end in 2004. Additionally, Hologic reported year end net income of $28.2 million, or $1.25 per diluted share, compared with net income of $12.1 million, or $0.57 per diluted share, in fiscal 2004.
