IDC debuts new dual-detector DR system

Imaging Dynamics Company (IDC) expanded its digital radiography offerings with the launch of its new dual detector digital radiography system at SCAR.

The Xplorer 2200 DR system offers a traditional two bucky configuration that includes one detector integrated into a fixed, elevating table with floating top and a second detector on an upright wall mount. The configuration provides the advantages of cassette-less digital radiography while reducing the process and positioning adjustments sometimes necessary for single-detector systems.

"The new Xplorer configuration provides an extremely affordable solution for those customers who prefer a conventional room layout with a fixed table and dual imaging detectors," said Rick Sbordone, senior vice president.

IDC's trigger technology allows the Xplorer 2200 to be retrofitted into existing x-ray generating equipment to further reduce investment cost.
