Instrumentarium sponsors breast imaging conference for 23rd time

This month marks the 23rd year mammography imaging provider, Instrumentarium Imaging, has sponsored the annual Breast Imaging Conference being held in New Orleans Sept. 15-17.

Attracting physicians, technologists and other allied healthcare professionals in the field of breast imaging, this year's conference explores principles of mammography interpretations, breast pathology, ultrasound and interventional procedures as well as a discussion of new technologies including digital and MR.

 The Milwaukee-based company will showcase its new 3D Diamond digital mammography imaging device.

 The conference also is designated by the Medical College of Wisconsin for a maximum of 18.25 credits toward the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association  (AMA). Technologists may claim category A credit through the American Society of Radiologist Technologists (ASRT).

Attendance at the conference also fulfills the 15 credit hour maximum per triennium MQSA requirement and also American College of Radiology's (ACR) standard for continuing medical education in stereotactically guided and ultrasound guided percutaneous breast interventional procedures.
