Kodak acquires Orex, expands CR line

Eastman Kodak Co. this week announced that it has completed the $51.3 million acquisition of Yokneam, Israel-based Orex Computed Radiography Ltd.
   
Orex, which develops small format computed radiography (CR) systems for specialty markets, including orthopedics, diagnostic imaging centers and dentistry, is now be a wholly owned subsidiary of Kodak and operates within Kodak's Health Group.
   
Orex will remain at its main head quarters in Israel, Kodak said.
   
Customers in another market Kodak serves also use CR systems from Orex - industrial non-destructive testing (NDT) organizations such as pipeline companies, foundries and aerospace manufacturers.
