L.A. hospital's ED automates workflow with Emergisoft

California Hospital Medical Center in downtown Los Angeles has implemented Emergisoft Corp.'s Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) - EmergisoftED - to automate workflow processed in the ED, including wait time, triage, patient tracking, lab orders, physician and nurse documentation and discharge instructions.

California Hospital Medical Center is a member of Catholic Healthcare West, which operates 41 acute-care facilities and is the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in California.

Since January 2003, EmergisoftED has been selected by hospitals across the country such as Trinitas of New Jersey, and Rockdale Medical Center of Georgia. Emergisoft said the software has been successfully integrated into health information system (HIS) platforms, including those made by McKesson Corp, Siemens Medical Solutions, Eclipsys Corp, and Meditech Inc.
