MAGNET, Carestream expand purchasing agreement

Carestream Health's DRX-1, DRX-Evolution systems and its RIS/PACS have been added to the purchasing agreement with Mid-Atlantic Group Network of Shared Services (MAGNET).

According to the Rochester, N.Y.-based company, MAGNET can now order the Carestream DRX-1 System which features a cassette-size DR detector that fits into an existing table or wall stand bucky tray and communicates images over a wireless network connection.

The DRX-Evolution system matches the positioning flexibility of the DRX-1 detector with a suite of x-ray equipment where the DRX-1 detector can be removed from the bucky tray for tabletop views, and the system’s wall stand can be positioned by the table for cross-table views, the company stated.

MAGNET’s shareholders include Joint Purchasing, Connecticut Hospital Association Shared Services Program, Southwest Ohio HealthCare Affiliates, Hospital Central Services Cooperation and Monmouth-Ocean HealthCare Cooperative, Carestream added.
