MEDSTRAT receives 510(k) for orthopedic PACS

MEDSTRAT has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA to market echoeSYSTEM, the company's patent-pending orthopedic PACS software.

The echoeSYSTEM PACS is a web-based system which frees surgeons to move access images anywhere. Also, the system automates offsite data backup for disaster recovery of archives, simplifying HIPAA conformance by practices.

Orthopedic healthcare professionals can benefit from using the system's software which aids in preoperative planning and postoperative evaluation of orthopedic surgery.  The software allows overlaying of implant templates on radiological images, and includes tools for performing analysis measurements on the image and positioning of the templates, the company said.
