NDS Surgical Imaging acquires Rivulet Communications

Visualization systems provider NDS Surgical Imaging (NDSsi) has acquired the technologies and other assets from Herndon, Va.-based Rivulet Communications, including the creation of its new network visualization (NetViz) group.

According to San Jose, Calif.-based NDSsi, the company will be utilizing NetViz to develop a network product that will deliver a solution for displaying, streaming, capturing, archiving and remotely accessing surgical image data. The NetViz group will employ a number of former Rivulet employees, said NDSsi.
