Nuance Healthcare’s RadCube for Radiology
Nuance Healthcare (Booth 6215) is showcasing enhancements to RadCube for Radiology, the data mining and outcomes analysis package that integrates with existing RIS systems and Nuance’s reporting solutions; Veriphy, its critical test result management (CTRM) solution; and the newest release of RadPort for Radiology, its integrated decision support application for appropriate exam ordering.

RadCube for Radiology is the company’s data warehouse designed for radiology business analysis and visualization. RadCube allows healthcare organizations the opportunity to expose untapped information inherent in years of clinical data, including business productivity measures, quality assurance metrics, utilization management statistics, throughput calculations, trending and forecasting and benchmarking.

RadCube is an OLAP database combined with Leximer, a patented natural language processing (NLP) algorithm which structures unstructured radiology report content and enhances the analytical data.

The company also is spotlighting Veriphy, a technology platform that provides a complete end-to-end CTRM solution encompassing policy development and implementation, communications technology, real-time performance reporting and professional services. The automated, CTRM solution boosts patient safety and clinical productivity, according to Nuance. In the radiology setting, Veriphy offers reporting clinicians one-call-does-it-all simplicity that meets the Joint Commission (JCAHO) and American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines. It reduces radiologist interruptions by timely communication of test results.

RadPort 2.0 is the latest version of the secure, web-based appropriateness system that allows healthcare facilities to manage high-cost utilization and satisfy pre-certification requirements through clinical decision support (DS). The newest release introduces multiple site support, an updated DS rule library, duplicate exam warnings, insurance company data, and comprehensive order history with workflow customization. Also, the company is showcasing its decision support application integrated with leading CPOE systems for an even more streamlined workflow.
