Ohio State hospitals achieve Stage 7
HIMSS Analytics issued the recognition to The Ohio State University Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital; The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute; The Ohio State University Hospital; and The Ohio State University Hospital East.
The Stage 7 award represents attainment of the highest level on the EMRs Adoption Model, which is used to track EMR progress at hospitals and health systems.
The hospitals will be recognized at the 2013 annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans next March. As of the first quarter of 2012, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is one of only 86 U.S. facilities, or 1.2 percent, of the more than 5,000 U.S. hospitals in the HIMSS Analytics Database, to be awarded the HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 Award.
