ONC extends comment period for Health IT Strategic Plan

The comment period for the Federal Health IT Strategic Plan: 2011-2015 has been extended to May 6 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, according to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC).

The Federal Health IT Strategic Plan outlines the ONC’s strategy for realizing Congress and the Obama Administration’s health IT agenda. Public comment on the plan is encouraged and welcomed, the ONC stated.

Interested parties must submit comments to the ONC's Health IT Buzz Blog in order to be considered. Following the analysis of the comments received during the public comment period, ONC intends to publish a final version of the plan on its website.
