Pegasus debuts new version of Prizm Viewer

Pegasus Imaging has upgraded its internet-based image viewer, Prizm Viewer.

The company said its Version 8 of the software allows users to navigate, view, annotate and share images, CAD and PDF files residing in document management or enterprise content management systems via a web browser. The viewer works with various image formats and includes administrative tools for user interface customization, deployment and annotation storage.

Users can view TIFF, PDF, CAD, JPEG, BMP, PNG and other formats. Version 8 now supports PDF up to v1.7; CAD formats, including DWG, DXF and DWF; image compression algorithms JPEG 2000, JBIG2, HD Photo (JPEG XR) and PNG; and AFP (MO:DCA) formats used by IBM systems, according to the Tampa, Fla.-based Pegasus.
