Philips launches image quality software

Philips Healthcare has introduced the iDose4 Premium Package, which includes two image quality technologies—iDose4 iterative reconstruction technique and metal artifact reduction for large orthopedic implants (O-MAR).

The iterative reconstruction technique seeks to provide up to 57 percent improvement in spatial resolution at low dose, and the majority of iDose4 reference protocols are reconstructed in 60 seconds or less, the company said.

O-MAR reduces artifacts caused by large metal implants, such as prosthetic hip replacements.
