RSNA: Cerner highlights web-based image viewer

Cerner (Booth 3409) is offering the Cerner Media Viewer, which is a web-based media viewer that displays images side by side from departments such as radiology, cardiology, wound care, ophthalmology and dermatology, at the annual conference of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.

The viewer allows clinicians to view a patient’s imaging history anywhere, the Kansas City, Mo.-based company said. The Cerner Media Viewer can be launched through its multimedia manager, PowerChart, as well as on a variety of traditional and mobile devices.

Cerner has also developed Imaging MPages, which give radiologists access to EHR information for a specific procedure. Launching out of RadNet, the MPages create a customizable view for radiologists when they are reviewing images within PACS, the company said.
