Sectra to deliver digital image archive to Karolinska University Hospital

Karolinska University Hospital is set to manage its digital radiology images with a Sectra-Imtec AB digital image archive.

Sectra values the contract at approximately $650,000.

Karolinska University Hospital was created on Jan. 1 through the merger of Karolinska Hospital and Huddinge University Hospital. The new entity has more than 15,000 employees and performs about 300,000 radiology examinations a year.

Huddinge University Hospital has been using the Sectra PACS system for handling and archiving radiology images since 2001.
