Stellaris Health Network to deploy Meditech's HCIS

Stellaris Health Network has signed a contract with Medical Information Technology Inc. (Meditech) to deploy its Client/Server Health Care Information System (HCIS) across Stellaris' four-hospital organization.

Stellaris Health Network is based in Armonk, N.Y., and has more than 900 beds across its four N.Y. facilities. The hospitals are Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville; Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco; Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow; and White Plains Hospital Center in White Plains.

Stellaris will undergo a phased implementation at all of its care sites. During the first phase -- scheduled for a completion by Jan. 1, 2005 -- Stellaris will implement Meditech's complete suite of financial and administrative products, while laying the groundwork for the Advanced Clinical System. The second phase of implementation will include the remainder of the advanced clinical features, such as nursing documentation and physician order entry.
