Susquehanna Health System implements Siemens Soarian

After launching Siemens Medical Solutions' Soarian Financials as a beta site in October 2001, Susquehanna Health System of Williamsport, Pa., this week went live with the system in conjunction with Soarian Clinicals.

Soarian is Siemens' new generation healthcare information system. SHS's full-scale implementation is enterprise wide across three facilities and includes Soarian Financials, Patient Access, Revenue Management, Clinical Access, Common Clinicals and Clinical Team.

In addition, Soarian is fully integrated with Siemens Novius Lab, as well as Siemens Pharmacy, Radiology, MagicWeb, Document Imaging and Decision Support systems.

All of SHS' Soarian users will access the system via Siemens biometric mouse and ID Center, which facilitates secure fingerprint sign on.
