TDK shows DICOM Media Creator, other medical grade media at RSNA
TDK showcased its next-generation DICOM Media Creator (DMC) technology along with the latest innovations in medical grade recording media at the recent RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The company highlighted its DMC-1000 network appliance, the smallest footprint DICOM media creator to date, according to the company. The extended DMC family of DICOM Media Creators makes it simpler and more convenient for healthcare providers to record patient studies, reports, and other information on medical grade DVD and CD recording media.
TDK also showcased its MDVD-700, a new network-compatible medical grade DVD recorder and player designed for medical applications such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound and endoscopy. The device offers direct recording of color video images to DVD and enables administrators to distribute video images over networks and is highlighted by ultra-fast searching and retrieval of patient studies, the company said.
Other products at the show included the company's Media Kits, for easy maintenance of DMC systems and guarantee that you always have the right media on hand, ready to go. Media Kits include DVDs and CDs bundled with thermal printing supplies. Also, TDK showcased their ultra-duarable Medical Grade DVD media featuring the company's DURABIS hard coating technology which offers greater scratch resistance than standard medical DVD media.
