Toshiba, Jefferson Ultrasound Institute partner
Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. (TAMS) has partnered with the Jefferson Ultrasound Research and Education Institute (JUREI) of Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital to provide general advanced ultrasound training to TAMS customers and staff.
The new educational service will launch in early 2005 for TAMS staff and will be extended to customers during the first quarter of 2005, TAMS said.
The program will consist of two- to five-day courses at JUREI facilities located at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, as well as provide a wide range of home-study materials on DVD or videotape.
"The JUREI courses have been refined over many years of experience and represent the best value for both physicians and sonographers," said Barry B. Goldberg, MD, professor of radiology and director, the Jefferson Ultrasound Research and Education Institute. "We continually update and improve the courses and add new programs as the technology and applications change."
