University of Virginia and SCAI to partner on interventional cardiology

The University of Virginia School of Medicine, sponsor of CardioVillage and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), have announced a collaborative partnership to develop an online cardiovascular medical education curriculum focused on interventional cardiology.

Both organizations will target interventional cardiologists and other specialists, including technicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners.

Launched in 1999, CardioVillage was developed by cardiologists as a free ACCME-accredited online site devoted to cardiovascular medical education.

The fully accredited and interactive curriculum will include cases, tutorials, and board reviews and will be available online through the SCAI Web site at www.scai.org.
