Viatronix receives FDA clearance for 2D/3D imaging workstation
Visualization software developer Viatronix Inc. received FDA marketing clearance for its general purpose 2D/3D medical imaging workstation V3D Explorer for x-ray.
X-ray is an addition to CT, MRI, positron emission tomography (PET), and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) that currently are supported by the Stony Brook, N.Y. company's V3D Explorer general purpose 2D/3D visualization software.
The V3D Explorer workstation is designed to process large and small radiology studies and accepts DICOM compliant images from several modalities, permitting radiologists to visualize patient's studies in any 2D or 3D projection.
