Vital Images has big second quarter

Vital Images has reported revenue of $11.9 million in its fiscal 2005 second quarter which is a record for the company, and is up 50 percent compared with the $8 million reported for the same period in 2004. The company has reported net income of $734,000, which compares favorably to $78,000 from second quarter of last year.
   
The company has also raised its outlook for 2005 for total revenue expectations to between $48 million to $50 million. Previously the outlook was at the $46 million to $48 million level. Vital Images' revenue total for 2004 was $36.1 million.
