VHA, Shared Medical Services ink supplier deal

Healthcare supply-chain management service firm VHA of Irving, Texas, has signed a contract with Shared Medical Services, a supplier of specialized medical imaging services.

The Cottage Grove, Wis.-based SMS owns and operates more than 130 mobile, interim and stationary medical imaging systems including MRIs, CT and PET/CT systems.

"We are pleased to offer our portfolio of imaging solutions and services to help enable VHA members to provide the quality of care they are known for," said Lisa Arington, CEO of SMS. "Whether a member is buying or transitioning its imaging equipment, requires a mobile building with diagnostic equipment or has a related requirement, we look forward to meeting their needs."
