Bruker nets NMR spectrometer order from the NIST
Bruker has secured a major order from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for its ultra-high field AVANCE III 900 US2 Nuclear MR (NMR) spectrometer for molecular structure and dynamics research.
The purchase was made through a competitive award process and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The spectrometer will be used by NIST's macromolecular structure and function group to develop novel NMR methods and models for analysis of the molecular structure and dynamics of biological macromolecules and complexes formed by these molecules.
The AVANCE III 900 US2 system includes Bruker’s high-sensitivity CryoProbe technology enabling NIST researchers to perform measurements on very small quantities of sample, according to the Billerica, Mass.-based Bruker BioSpin.
