GE, West Physics Consulting partner to assist with ACR accreditation

GE Healthcare and West Physics Consulting, a national provider of medical and health physics consulting and testing services, have formed a partnership to assist GE’s customers seeking accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) for MRI, CT, nuclear medicine and PET.

The partnership will help hospitals and outpatient facilities achieve and maintain accreditation for both GE and non-GE imaging systems, said the companies.

New services will assist with clinical image submission, phantom image submission, yearly medical physicist survey and site quality control measures, as well as instruction on scanning the required clinical exams, expert scanning of the required phantom exams and advice for preparing submissions and completing forms, GE said.
