Mediscan seeks to increase PET/CT services in U.S.

Mediscan Imaging, a mobile PET/CT operator servicing small and mid-sized hospitals and medical centers, has partnered with Mediscan Management to deliver PET/CT technology to underserved markets.

“By entering into an equal partnership with these facilities, Mediscan Imaging can minimize the risk to all parties involved,” explained Joseph Barone, general partner of Mediscan Imaging and president and CEO of Mediscan Management.

Based on the Mediscan process, the hospitals refer patients and earn incremental revenue for offering this care to their community while the patients benefit by no longer traveling to receive medical care. The hospitals in turn retain their patients and increase their revenue base, according to the Dover, Del.-based Mediscan Imaging.
