Philips installs Gemini TF PET/CT in Louisiana

Philips Healthcare has installed its Gemini TF Big Bore PET/CT system at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, La., as part of Willis-Knighton Health System serving patients from northwest Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas.

The company said its Gemini TF PET/CT offers an 85cm bore size for both PET and CT, and features a table for treatment planning that complies with the industry standards for positional accuracy for CT simulation.

The system features time-of-flight technology, which provides high-resolution diagnostic whole-body PET scans, and allows the use of low doses, helping to reduce exposure to patients and staff, said Philips.
