Syntermed launches FDG-PET brain imaging software

Syntermed launched NeuroQ version 3.5, a nuclear medicine quantitative software platform for analysis and image display of brain FDG-PET scans at the Alzheimer’s Association 2010 international conference this week in Honolulu.

The update adds ten new features and is compatible with Syntermed Live for remote access to images and data, according to Syntermed.

The Atlanta-based nuclear medicine imaging and informatics software company also is collaborating with Avid Radiopharmaceuticals to quantify amyloid uptake for Alzheimer’s diagnosis and building a database of normal brain AV-45 (Avid’s radiopharmaceutical contrast agent) PET images to integrate into NeuroQ.
