TU Delft, MILabs to develop new PET/SPECT device
Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in Delft, the Netherlands, and Molecular Imaging Labs (MILabs) of Utrecht, the Netherlands have combined microPET and microSPECT into one piece of a new device is known as the VECTor (Versatile Emission CT).
The equipment, developed at TU Delft and MILabs, is designed for fundamental research using experimental animal models.
The combined PET/SPECT apparatus offers high-resolution images and reduces use of laboratory animals, according to TU Delft.
