Visage Imaging, Definiens form partnership

Definiens, an enterprise image intelligence company, and Visage Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro Medicus, have entered into a partnership to jointly develop and market oncology solutions for the clinical and preclinical imaging domain.

The companies said that the partnership allows the Munich-based Definiens to utilize the Visage CS enterprise visualization application in its forthcoming Definiens LymphExpert Version 2.0.

By quantifying lymph nodes not only according to RECIST and World Health Organization guidelines but also by their volume, the new integrated solution allows for efficient lesion analysis including automated quantification of lymph nodes.

Andover, Mass.-based Visage said its technology will provide Definiens’ LymphExpert Version 2.0 with a thin-client based interface for local and remote access, as well as universal connectivity to image acquisition devices and image archives.
