Brainlab, Toshiba to create integrated surgical suite

Medical therapy and cancer software provider Brainlab has partnered with Toshiba Medical Systems for the integration of its Brainsuite iCT digitally integrated operating room with Toshiba’s Aquilion LB CT scanner.

Under the terms of the agreement, the integration will provide intra-operative CT scans and surgical planning with ceiling-mounted navigation to produce images for surgeons who can check their progress before concluding surgery, according to the Feldkirchen, Germany-based Brainlab.
