IASLC releases lung cancer staging app for smartphones

The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) has begun marketing a thoracic cancer staging application for mobile devices, including the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and iPad.

IASLC said its Staging Atlas in Thoracic Oncology offers tumor, node and metastasis staging information for physicians, and is intended to complement and enhance the staging publications of the American Joint Committee on Cancer and the Union for International Cancer Control, both of which helped develop the new IASLC app. The Staging Atlas includes illustrations and is available in seven languages, according to IASLC.
