TomoTherapy to install treatment system in China

General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command of PLA in Guangzhou, China, has purchased TomoTherapy’s radiation therapy system for the treatment of head and neck cancers.
 
The system will allow clinicians to use helical image-guided, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IG-IMRT) for the treatment of nasopharyngeal cancer cases and to monitor changes to the parotid glands while calculating dosage, stated Madison, Wis.-based TomoTherapy.
