UltraRAD launches latest version of UltraWEB

UltraRAD Corporation announced the release of UltraWEB version 5.0 just prior to the 2005 RSNA meeting.  Feature enhancements include improvements to the worklist, comparison views, study status simplification, progressive decompression, pre-fetch module, virtual partitions, CD/DVD burning capability and enhanced back-end support.

This latest version uses progressive streaming decompression technology with JPG2000 that permits medical professionals to share images instantaneously while transferring in lossless or lossy quality over any web connection, regardless of bandwidth.  The new pre-fetch module permits physicians to download all of the studies to a local workstation using specific filters based on time frame, modality, referring physician and/or study-specific features.  Virtual Partitions makes it possible to keep various sites or departments separated to facilitate flexibility. Users only see their own studies, which allows customized viewing and greater security. UltraRAD provides fully scalable solutions.
