Certus selects ThinkingPACS for worldwide image management

Certus Imaging LLC, a full-service imaging core lab for clinical trials, has selected Thinking Systems Corp. to provide its advanced multi-modality PACS for the management and communication of images in multiple formats from research sites around the world. Certus chose Thinking System's ThinkingPACS for its ability to manage images across all modalities, including nuclear medicine, as well as data in both proprietary and DICOM formats.

"As a firm that manages clinical trials for biotech and pharmaceutical companies, we had far more complex needs than the typical radiology PACS installation and found we were pushing most PACS solutions to the limit," said Edward M. Aten, MD,  president and CEO of Certus International Inc., parent company of Certus Imaging LLC.

Aten said that no other system would allow the company to collect, analyze and interpret nuclear medicine images, along with more traditional radiology modalities.
