Emergent, Crosspoint release secure information transfer network

Emergent Technologies Inc. and Crosspoint Media Services Inc. have combined their efforts to create ChartExchange, a network which is designed enable secure health information transfer that it is quickly and easily accessible to doctors and hospitals, the companies said.

ChartExchange uses software compatible with any Windows-based program with specific packages designed especially for medical professionals and patients. The ChartExchange for Professionals Viewer Software and Transfer Service enables any professional engaging in health information transfer to transfer and access complete patient medical records from virtually anywhere in the world, with HIPAA-compliant security.

Also, the ChartExchange health information transfer network for patients enables anyone to carry a fully-updatable and secure copy of their complete medical record with them at all times.
