Hologic releases 3rd quarter fiscal 2005 numbers

Hologic Inc. last week announced its fiscal year results for the quarter and nine months which ended June 25, 2005.

Third quarter fiscal 2005 revenues totaled $74,053,000, a 25 percent increase compared to $59,225,000 in the same portion of fiscal 2004. For the quarter, Hologic also reported net income of $8,158,000, which compares with net income of $3,325,000, in the 3rd quarter of fiscal 2004.

According to Hologic, the improvement in quarterly earnings is largely due to the increase in revenues in the mammography segment as product sales of Selenia digital mammography systems, MultiCare breast biopsy tables and analog mammography systems all increased in the current quarter as compared to the third quarter of fiscal 2004.
