Emageon has a good 2nd quarter

Emageon Inc. last week reported financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.

Revenue for the quarter was $18.6 million which compares favorably with $12.1 million in the second quarter of 2004 and represents a 53 percent rise and is a record for the company. For the period, the company's posted its first profitable quarter with a net income of $1.9 million which is an improvement over the net loss of $0.1 million for the same period in 2004, Emageon said.
   
Revenue for the six months of 2005 was $29.9 million, an increase of 55% over revenue of $19.2 million for the six months ended June 30, 2004.
