Fujifilm announces PACS admin scholarship for SCAR

Fujifilm Medical Systems USA is offering an educational scholarship valued at more than $2,000 for a PACS administrator to attend the SCAR (Society for Computer Applications in Radiology) meeting, June 2 - 5, in Orlando. The scholarship covers SCAR's one day pre-conference SCAR PACS Administrator Overview Course on June 1.

Applications are being accepted and the deadline is April 22, Fujifilm said. Prospective participants may include PACS administrators, including technologists, radiology administrators, and IT professionals currently pursuing this position, as well as current PACS administrators who have held the job for less than one year.

To qualify, Fujifilm said applicants must complete a brief application form, and submit it along with a resume and a 300 word essay describing, "Why it is valuable to my career to attend the PACS Administration Overview Course, and how my attendance benefits my healthcare facility."

Applications are being accepted online at www.fujimed.com/pacs/scholorship.asp.  An independent panel of SCAR members will judge submissions and select the winner, who will be notified the week of May 16, Fujifilm said.
