Swissray inks sales deals with Konica and Fujifilm

Swissray International Inc. is expanding its U.S. sales force in the digital x-ray market with two distribution agreements.

The first contract entitles Swissray to sell computed radiography (CR) systems from Wayne. N.J.-based Konica Minolta Medical Imaging. The pact includes the company's new Xpress CR device.

"CR complements Swissray's high capacity direct digital ddR systems by providing an advanced imaging system for portable radiographic imaging and a cassette based digital x-ray system for satellite services and facilities with low procedure volume," said Terry Ross, Swissray CEO.

Swissray also reached an agreement to sell cassette-based digital x-ray systems from Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc., of Stamford, Conn.
