SoftMed Systems receives heart hospital pact
Saint Francis Heart Hospital has chosen SoftMed Systems Inc. to provide its healthcare information system (HIS) to the all-digital heart hospital.
The Tulsa, Okla.-based facility will integrate SoftMed's healthcare information system (HIS) with other HIS technologies, including GE Medical Systems Information Technologies' (GEMSIT) Centricity.
Saint Francis Heart Hospital is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2004.
The facility initially will be licensed for 52 private inpatient beds, as well as three surgical suites for open heart and surgical vascular procedures; four cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and vascular labs; 16 private day-patient beds; and a five-bed, full-service emergency room. Plans are to eventually double the number of inpatient beds to 104.
