Inova Health System chooses Philips Medical Systems

Philips has received a 10-year, multi-million dollar agreement with Inova Health System, a not-for-profit healthcare system in northern Virginia.

 Philips will provide cardiovascular imaging equipment, consulting and services to Inova Fairfax Hospital, one of Inova's providers which specializes in cardiac surgery and cardiology.

 The Inova Heart Institute at Inova Fairfax Hospital/Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children - scheduled to open in 2004 -- will receive Philips' technologies, such as the Integris Allura flat detector. The cath lab will feature Philips' Xper technology, which can tailor system performance to an individual clinician's needs. Also available is Philips' Xres, a real-time algorithm designed to heighten image quality by reducing noise and enhancing visualization of coronary arteries.
