The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) is holding its tenth Annual Meeting & Exhibition April 17 - 20, in Denver, Colo.
The show is host to more than 300 presentations by medical and technology experts from around the world. The exhibit hall features telemedicine products and services by more than 100 companies.
Included in the exhibition will be medical robots for use in nursing homes and hospitals, new devices used by the military to extend medical care into the battlefield in Iraq, mobile medical vans bringing healthcare into the community, applications helping patients in rural health clinics to be seen by specialists located miles away and small monitoring devices and sensors that allow vital signs to be taken right from the home, ATA said.
The four-day meeting will explore the latest findings in remote clinical applications in radiology, pediatrics, neurology, dermatology and mental health. Remote medical services being delivered in prisons, nursing homes, and in developing nations will also be highlighted.
