Magnetic Imaging Medical Group selects Neurostar

Neurostar Solutions of Atlanta, Ga., has been awarded a contract from Los Angeles, Calif.-based Magnetic Imaging Medical Group Inc. (MIMG) to enable digital workflow among MIMG's four locations.

MIMG is installing Neurostar's Virtual Radiology Network (VRN) system that enables radiology groups to work efficiently with multiple hospitals, imaging centers and physicians' offices. It provides the infrastructure for a single network that connects a community of physicians and healthcare facilities to enable clinical image exchange and management.

MIMG is a multi-modality practice with four MRI and two CT devices in its four offices in the Los Angeles area. All radiologists work in multiple locations and together handle about 20,000 MRI exams annually. The Neurostar VRN server and archive are located at MIMG's largest clinic, with viewing stations at each of its three other locations. Images are shared among all locations as well as with referring physicians over the internet.

The sale was made by PRO Radiology, a Neurostar reseller based in Pasadena.
