Siemens names Karras to IS post

Siemens Medical Solutions Health Services Corp. has named Thanos Karras to head the company's Imaging Information Systems radiology information systems (RIS) business in the United States.

Karras most recently served as general manager of marketing for clinical systems at GE Medical Systems Information Technologies (GEMSIT). At GEMSIT, he was responsible for developing the company's Centricity strategy for the patient monitoring business. Karras also helped with the global launch of GEMSIT's PathSpeed PACS.
