Vital Images promotes three in management roles
Vital Images Inc. announced management changes in its engineering, marketing and customer support areas.
The 3D imaging software company promoted Stephen S. Andersen to vice president of engineering. Andersen previously served as senior director of quality and customer satisfaction. He succeeds David M. Frazee, who left the company after five years as vice president of engineering. Andersen joined Vital Images in 1999 with eight years of technical and leadership experience in software and IT-based products.
Jeremy Abbs has been named vice president of quality and customer satisfaction. Abbs joined Vital Images in 2002 as vice president of marketing. Prior to Vital Images, Abbs served as group marketing manager for emerging technology and market development for Boston Scientific Corp.'s Scimed division.
The company also promoted Philip I. Smith as vice president of marketing and corporate development from his most-recent post as vice president of corporate development. Prior to joining Vital Images, Smith served as president and CEO of Minneapolis-based Thermonix, and as vice president of marketing and business development for Image-Guided Neurologics, based in Melbourne, Fla.
